With the introduction of Reliance Jio in the Telecom market, the competition among country's biggest telecom operators has become a fierce one, leading them to come up with attractive and low-cost plans in order to lure more customers. Here are the latest prepaid plans from major telecos to give you a better idea of the options available to you:
Airtel
Rs 199 plan: The validity of this pack is 28 days with benefits of 28GB data and unlimited local, STD calls. Apart from this, the plan also offers unlimited local and national SMS with unlimited calls on roaming. The new pack is only available in Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi NCR, and Karnataka.
Rs 157 plan: Under this pack, prepaid users will get data benefits worth 3GB with validity of 27 days.
Rs 49 Plan: This pack offers data benefits worth 1GB with validity of 27 days.
Vodafone
Rs 199 plan: Vodafone launched this plan for its customers in the Delhi-NCR circle. The plan offers unlimited calls, 1GB 4G data with a validity of 28 days.
Drawbacks for Rs 199 plan: The customers will be able to make free calls for maximum 250 minutes in a day and 1,000 minutes in a week. However, if the user exhausts the limit, then calls will be charged at 30 paisa per minute.
Also, customers cannot make calls to more than 300 unique numbers in a week's period. In case, they breach it then all calls will be charged at 30 paisa per minute for the remaining days within the validity span.
Rs 458 plan: Customers get 1GB 4G/3G data along with unlimited local and STD calls for a period of 70 days.
Rs 509 plan: It provides same benefits as Rs 458 plan with an extended validity of 84 days.
Reliance Jio
Rs 309 plan: Under this pack, Jio offers high speed 1GB data per day. The pack has a validity period of 49 days along with unlimited SMS and access to many Jio apps.
Rs 399 plan: Here, Jio offers high speed 1GB data per day for 70 days, followed by 64 kbps data speed beyond that.
Rs 459 plan: Under this recharge pack, Jio offers 1GB data for 84 days along with unlimited calling and messaging to all operators.
Idea Cellular
Rs 179 plan: This pack offers unlimited voice calling and 1GB data and comes with 28 days validity.
Aircel
Rs 104 plan: The company has rolled out a new prepaid plan that slashes down the call tariff to 20 paisa per minute for 365 days.
