E-commerce platform, Flipkart, on Tuesday announced its Republic Day Sale, which will be in competition with Amazon Great Indian Sale.
Both Flipkart and Amazon, who are rivals on the e-commerce base, start their sale on January 21. This will be the first big sale for both the portals in the new year.
Flipkart’s Republic Day Sale starts on January 21 and continues till January 23. Audience get huge discounts on smartphones, electronic items, clothing, home decor, home furnishings and many more.
The sale also gives additional discount of 10 per cent to the audience if they buy products using Citi Bank Credit or Debit cards.

Looking out for the smartphones, Honor 9 Lite will be the latest device to be available as it will be a Flipkart exclusive. Other than that, Remi Note 4 gets Rs 2,000 off and drops to Rs 10,999 from Rs 12,999.
The Moto G5 Plus gets a huge Rs 6,000 discount and will be available at Rs 10,999, originally available at Rs 16,999. Samsung On Nxt 64 GB variant will come at Rs 11,900 originally from Rs 17,900, getting a Rs 6,000 discount.
The Google Pixel 2 will come at Rs 48,999 in the sale along with an additional Rs 10,000 of if brought from HDFC credit card Txn. The Samsung Galaxy S7, which is originally priced at Rs 46,000 will come at Rs 26,990 in the sale, with a huge drop of Rs 19,010.
Apart from smartphones, the sale offers up to 60 per cent discount on laptops, audio devices, cameras and other electrical accessories. Up to 80 per cent discount is given on clothing, footwear, jewellery and other cosmetic items. Tv and appliances get up to 70 per cent off on the sale, while 40 per cent to 80 per cent discount comes on home furnishings, home decor, furniture and other items.
