Xiaomi India on Wednesday launched two new smartphones in a never seen before launch event held in New Delhi. The company launched the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in the event.
The Redmi Note 5 will be available in two price variants of Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999, while the Redmi Note 5 Pro will be available for Rs 13,999 and Rs 16,999 depending on the variant.
Present at the launch were Manu Kumar Jain, Vice President Global and MD, Xiaomi India, Jai Mani, Lead Product Manager, Xiaomi India, and Sudeep Sahu, Product Manager, Xiaomi India.
The company, in the launch, claimed that it is the fourth largest smartphone selling brand in the world, while it had an exponential growth in the offline stores which made it the second largest brand in the offline retail stores within 9 months.

SPECIFICATIONS OF REDMI NOTE 5
Claimed to be the thinnest Redmi Note smartphone ever made, the Redmi Note 5 comes with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Redmi Note 5 packs an Octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor.
The smartphone comes with a premium metal body and a tapered back cover. The phone packs a 4000mAH battery which is said to give a backup for at least 24 hours completely.
The smartphone comes in four colour variants, Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and Lake Blue. Packing a 12-mp rear camera with LED Selfie-light and a 5-mp camera lens at the front end, the Redmi Note 5 comes in two storage variants, one with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, and the other with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.
The 3 GB RAM + 32 GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999, while the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB internal memory is priced at Rs 11,999.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro, which is the global debut of the smartphone, comes with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor with Kryo 260 CPU unit.
The smartphone comes in two storage variants, one with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage, and the other with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. The 4 GB + 64 GB memory variant is priced at Rs 13,999, while the 6 GB + 64 GB variant is priced at 16,999.
On the camera front, the Redmi Note 5 Pro possess dual rear camera lens, one with 12-mp lens and the other with a sharp 5-mp lens, while at the front end, the smartphone gets a never before 20-mp high-resolution camera lens with LED Selfie-light.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro is also available in four colour variants, Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and Lake Blue.
