In order to keep customers active, Airtel and Vodafone have issued plans with a minimum recharge of Rs 35, Rs 65 and Rs 95 for 28 days of validity. According to the plan, the outgoing calls of users who do not recharge within a month will stop and the incoming call facility will also be terminated in 45 days.

Competition to reduce the rate in telecom sector started after the arrival of Reliance Jio.

According to DG Rajan Mathews of Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), which represents private mobile companies, this will reduce connections on a large scale and in the next 6 months, the number of subscribers can be reduced by 2.5 to 3 crore.
