Recently, Bharti Airtel had revised its postpaid plans in a bid to compete with Jio, Vodafone Idea and other telecom operators. Continuing with the same, Airtel has now made significant changes to its prepaid plans for new and existing subscribers. Notably, the telecom service provider has revised two of its prepaid plans to offer more data benefit and one of them even brings life insurance cover for its subscribers.
The Rs 129 prepaid plan now offers 2GB data per day. Importantly, this plan is now available in an open market manner. It is to be noted that earlier the prepaid plan used to only be offered to select users and data benefit was only 1GB for the whole validity period. On the other hand, the Rs 249 prepaid plan now offers Rs 4 lakh life cover from HDFC Life or from Bharti AXA.

In the Rs 129 prepaid plan, Airtel now offers offer 2GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 messages daily. With the validity of 28 days, Airtel is also offering benefits like Airtel TV and Wynk Music subscription for free.
Earlier, this plan used to offer unlimited voice calls, 1GB of 4G data and 100 messages per day. Users used to get voice calling benefits of 220 local and STD minutes for a validity period of 28 days. However, this distinction has now been removed and the revised prepaid plan is live on the Airtel website and the Airtel Thanks app.
The Rs 249 prepaid plan offers the same data and calling benefits, but Airtel has added Rs 4 lakh life cover from HDFC Life or from Bharti AXA. This plan also offers Airtel TV Premium subscription, Rs 2,000 cashback on buying a new 4G phone, 1-year Norton Mobile Security and Wynk Music subscription. Also, the plan offers 2GB data per day, unlimited calls and 100 messages per day for a validity of 28 days. Interestingly, this plan is also live on the Airtel website and the Airtel Thanks app as well.
