Since Reliance Jio has come into inception, other telecom companies are leaving no stone unturned in countering plans offered by Jio in order to sustain its subscriber.

Recently, Bharti Airtel has shifted its focus on postpaid and launched Rs 499 postpaid plan for its users to counter Reliance Jio’s Rs 509 postpaid plan.

Airtel Rs 499 plan vs Reliance Jio Rs 509 plan:  

Airtel Rs 499 Plan – This plan offers 40GB 3G/4G data with a validity of 30 days. It offers unlimited local, STD and roaming calls.

It also comes with rollover facility through which the unused data can be carry forward to the next billing cycle.

The user also gets one-year free subscription of Amazon Prime with some if the additional benefits which includes free access to Wynk Music, Live TV and Handset Damage Protection.

Reliance Jio Rs 509 Plan – Under this plan, the user gets 60GB of high-speed data with a daily limit of 2GB. It also offers unlimited Local, STD and roaming calls and SMS to all operators.

It offers free access to Jio suite of apps including Jio Cinema, Music and many more. However, this Jio plan also require deposit of Rs 600 as security and the plan also doesn’t allow rollover of unused data.

Which one is Better?

-          Jio Rs 509 plan require Rs 600 of deposit as security but there is no deposit necessary for Airtel Plan.

-          Airtel offers one-year subscription of Amazon Prime and Jio comes with free access to Jio suite of apps.

-          Airtel plan allows to rollover the unused data to the next billing cycle but there is no rollover option available for Reliance Jio Plan.

-          Jio offers almost double the data offered by Airtel Rs 499 plan.
