Google’s Android Auto gives the users the ability to display their full contact list in their car. The feature, which was earlier unavailable due to safety reasons, has now been made available but with a few restrictions.
Users just need to hit the hamburger menu in the top left corner and select ‘Contacts’ to view the complete list of their contacts.
However, the users can browse through their complete contact list only if the car is not in motion. If the car is in motion, the users will be restricted to just a few taps and not browse completely.
With this feature, the Android Auto has four ways through which calls can be made from within the vehicle. Users can give voice commands to the Google Assistant to place a call, choose contacts from a list like favourites, recently placed calls, received calls, missed calls, etc.

Apart from this, the Android Auto users can also manually dial a number to call someone.
Earlier, the Android Auto updated a new feature called ‘Swipe up to Unlock’ which allowed users to access their smartphones while driving.
Swiping up on the in-car dashboard app can unlock paired phones and give users access to certain features of the device which would otherwise not be available while driving.
