Apple launched its latest line-up of iPhones i.e. iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max on September 11, 2019. Talking specifically about the iPhone 11 Pro Max, the key features on the phone include OLED display, triple camera setup and A13 Bionic chip, among others. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Fold, the company’s first foldable Android smartphone in the Indian market, has recently gone official in the country. On the competition front in the India, the two premium phones are up against each other. Therefore, News Nation brings to you the head to head comparison between Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy Fold on the basis of specifications, prices and features. 

Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max  

Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max supports dual-SIM connectivity via a Nano-SIM card slot and an eSIM. It runs on iOS 13 and pack the Lightning connector. 

The iPhone 11 Pro Max features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR (1,242x2,688 pixels) OLED display with 458ppi and 800-nit peak brightness. 

The iPhone 11 Pro Max is powered by A13 Bionic chip and is rated IP68 for dust and water-resistance. The iPhone 11 Pro Max can last up to 4 metres underwater up to 30 minutes.  

As far the optics on the iPhone 11 Pro Max are concerned, Apple’s newly-launched phone comes equipped with a triple camera setup that houses a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/1.8), 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.4) and 12-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.0). On the front, the phone have 12-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. 

The iPhone 11 Pro Max comes in three storage variants – 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB. However, there is no word on the amount of RAM or battery - as it is usual for Apple.  

The 64GB variant of iPhone 11 Pro Max base is priced at Rs 1,09,000. The 256GB model's price has been set at Rs 1,23,900, while the top-end 512GB storage version will set buyers back by Rs 1,41,900. 

The iPhone 11 Pro Max can be ordered in Midnight Green, Space Gray, Silver and Gold. 

Samsung Galaxy Fold 

Samsung Galaxy Fold features two displays - with one flat screen featuring at the front and the second internal screen that sports a foldable design. While the front display has a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED panel with an HD+ (840x1960 pixels) resolutions and 21:9 aspect ratio, the foldable display includes a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Dynamic AMOLED panel that has a QXGA+ (1536x2152 pixels) resolution with 4.2:3 aspect ratio. 

Samsung Galaxy Fold runs Android 9 Pie with a tweaked One UI skin on top. The phone is powered by an octa-core SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM. It also comes with a 512GB of internal storage. Note that the storage is not expandable. 

On the imaging front, Samsung Galaxy Fold comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup, two cameras at the front, and a single selfie shooter on the cover. 

On the back, the triple camera setup includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an ultra-wide f/2.2 lens and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with Dual Pixel AF lens that supports OIS and variable f/1.5 to f/2.4 aperture. There is also a 12-megapixel telephoto tertiary sensor with PDAF, OIS, an f/2.4 lens that enables 2X optical zoom. 

The front-facing dual camera setup features a 10-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens and an 8-megapixel secondary RGB depth sensor with an f/1.9 lens. On the other hand, the cover of the phone includes a 10-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 lens. 

Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. It comes with stereo speakers. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light, barometer, geomagnetic, gyroscope, in-display fingerprint and proximity sensor. 

It packs a dual battery that has a capacity of 4,380mAh and supports wired as well as wireless charging. Also, there is a Wireless PowerShare feature that enables reverse charging. 

The device measures 62.8x160.9x17.1 mm when folded and 117.9x160.9x7.6 mm when unfolded along with 276 grams of weight. 

The price for the lone 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant of Samsung Galaxy Fold in India has been set at Rs 1,64,999. The phone comes in Cosmos Black colour option.
