Asus ROG Phone 2 was launched in India in September this year. The gaming smartphone was announced in two variants i.e. the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and the higher-end 12GB + 512GB option. It is to be noted that the phone is the second gaming smartphone from ASUS’s ROG gaming line. On Sunday, the official Twitter account for ASUS ROG India announced that there will be a temporary shortage of the phone. The reason for the temporary shortage of ASUS ROG Phone 2 is said to be Coronavirus.
In a tweet, ASUS ROG India said, "An open letter to our fans who’ve been waiting to buy the #ROGPhoneII. Thank you for your patience. #WorshippedByGamers #LovedByTechGurus".

Asus ROG Phone 2: Price & Availability
The price for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of Asus ROG Phone 2 has been set at Rs 37,999. The higher-end 12GB + 512GB variant of the Asus ROG Phone 2 carries a price tag of Rs 59,999.

Asus ROG Phone 2 features a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and 10-bit HDR support. The phone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and it runs ROG UI based on Android Pie. The gaming-centric phone of Asus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, paired with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 of internal storage.
On the imaging front, Asus ROG Phone 2 comes equipped with a 48 MP Sony IMX 586 sensor which uses a quad-Bayer technology and f/1.79 aperture. The primary camera is accompanied by a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 125-degrees field of view. For selfies, there is a 24-megapixel shooter.

Asus ROG Phone 2 packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4.0 fast-charging standard. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. Asus' new offering sports dual front-facing stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra support and features Air Trigger 2, the upgraded version of the Asus ROG Phone's ultrasonic shoulder buttons for a console controller-like gaming experience.
