Best smartphones under Rs 10,000 budget

Realme 5i

Realme 5i sports a 6.52-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) in-cell display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 269ppi of pixel density. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0.1 on top. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Realme 5i has 64GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).

On the imaging front, Realme 5i comes equipped with the quad rear camera setup that houses a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with an f/1.8 lens. The primary camera is assisted by an 8-megapixel sensor that has a wide-angle f/2.25 lens, paired with two 2-megapixel sensors that have f/2.4 portrait and macro lenses on top. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera sensor along with an f/2.0 lens.

It packs a 5,000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. Also, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication and an LED flash.

The price for the lone 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of Realme 5i in India has been set at Rs 8,999. The smartphone is available in Aqua Blue and Forest Green colour options.

Realme 5s

Realme 5s features a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) display with 89 percent screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) connectivity and runs Android Pie with the ColorOS 6 skin on top. Under the hood, Realme 5s is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC clocked at 2.0GHz, and it is paired with 4GB of RAM.

On the imaging front, Realme 5s comes equipped with a quad-rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary snapper that employs the Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The primary camera is assisted by an 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter with a 119-degree (±1.5-degree) field of view and an f/2.25 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel portrait snapper with an f/2.4 aperture. Also, there is a 13-megapixel selfie snapper on the front.

The internal storage phone carries up to 128GB which can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). Connectivity options on the newly-launched smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, Beidou, Galileo, and Glonass. It packs a 5,000mAh battery. The price for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of Realme 5s in India has been set at Rs 9,999. On the other hand, the top-spec 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model of Realme 5s costs Rs 10,999. Samsung Galaxy M20    

Samsung Galaxy M20 comes with a larger 6.2-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) Infinity-V Display panel along with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Infinity-V Display along with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio respectively. Samsung Galaxy M20 is powered by Exynos 7904 SoC, paired with 3GB and 4GB RAM options.

In terms of optics, Galaxy M20 offers a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.9 lens and a 5-MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, there is an 8-MP sensor along with an f/2.0 lens.

Samsung Galaxy M20 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging via USB Type-C. Galaxy M20 is priced in India at Rs 10,990 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option and Rs 12,990 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option.

Redmi Note 7S

Redmi Note 7S features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. Redmi Note 7S is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC which is paired up to 4GB of RAM.

Redmi Note 7S runs MIUI 10.3 on top of Android 9.0. On the imagining front, Redmi Note 7 gets a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, it has a 13-megapixel selfie shooter.

Redmi Note 7S packs a 4,000mAh battery which offers good battery life. The price of Redmi Note 7S starts at Rs 9,999 and goes up to Rs 11,999. It is available for sale.

Redmi Note 8

Redmi 8 sports a 6.22-inch HD+ Dot Notch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

On the imaging front, Redmi 8 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup that houses a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the front. The dual rear camera setup is preloaded AI Portrait and AI Scene Detection features.
