BSNL introduces new prepaid plans from Rs 118 to compete with Reliance Jio

The plan is launched to counter Jio’s Rs 98 plan which offers only 2GB data in total for 28 days along with access to Jio suite of Apps and 300 free messages.

BSNL introduces new prepaid plans from Rs 118 to compete with Reliance Jio

State owned BSNL has recently launched new prepaid packs to counter Reliance Jio’s plan which offers high-speed data at low cost.

BSNL unveiled new prepaid plan of just Rs 118 which offers 1GB of 3G data per day with a validity of 28 days. The users also get free access to Personalised Ring Back Tone feature. However, this plan is available only in Tamil Nadu circle.

The plan is launched to counter Jio’s Rs 98 plan which offers only 2GB data in total for 28 days along with access to Jio suite of Apps and 300 free messages.  

There is another BSNL plan to compete with Reliance Jio’s Rs 349 and Rs 399 prepaid plans. BSNL has Rs 379 plan which offers 4G data and 30 minutes BSNL-to-BSNL calling every day with a validity of 30 days.

On the other hand, Jio offers 1.5GB of high-speed data with a validity of 70 days and 84 days respectively.

Another BSNL pack which will compete directly with Reliance Jio is Rs 551 plan which offers 1.5GB per day. The plan will only be valid for Kerala state only.

As per latest reports, BSNL has also launched Rs 666 plan for the Kerala circle which will offer 1GB of high speed data, unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day for 129 days.
