Canon has revealed the next line-up of its flagship DSLRs for the Indian market. The company launched the new EOS 1500D and EOS 3000D in the Indian market on Monday.

The Canon EOS 1500D replaces the company’s flagship DSLR EOS 1300D with a bigger 24.1-megapixel sensor, while the EOS 3000D is a new addition to the list of DSLRs offered by the company and comes with an 18-megapixel sensor.

The company claims that both the cameras are aimed for casual photographers who are willing to click with just more than their smartphone cameras. This is the reason Canon has added the “Scene Intelligent Auto” mode, which makes it easier to shoot Instagram-ready pictures with creative filters in addition to the standard shooting modes.

The camera also carries Wi-Fi for easy transfer of pictures, with an additional NFC on the EOS 1500D, along with a feature guide for the beginners.

The Canon EOS 1500D possesses a 3-inch LCD screen, while the Canon EOS 3000D sports a 2.7-inch screen. The other specifications include Canon’s DIGIC 4+ image processor. Both the cameras come with a full-HD 30fps video shooting screen with 9-point phase-detection autofocus, 3fps burst shooting speed, and 100-6400 ISO range which can be expandable up to 128,000.

The creative filters on both the Canon EOS 1500D and the Canon EOS 3000D include effects such as soft focus, toy camera, fish-eye, miniature, and an ‘artsy grainy’ black-and-white.

To transfer the pictures via Wi-Fi, a user need to have the Canon Camera Connect App in their smartphone, which is available for download on both Android and iOS platforms. The app, apart from transferring pictures, also provides remote shooting capability and the option to adjust the camera settings so that selfies and group tripod shots can be easily shot.

The price of the DSLRs is yet to be revealed, and might be available by the end of March.
