Facebook gears up to resurrect 'poke' feature; add wink, high-five, hugs feature

Good news is coming for Facebook users. The social media platform is on a way to resurrect its antediluvian-poke feature. 

Now, users will be able to send a wink, a high-five, a hug and a wave through latest poke option. 

But it seems that, Indian users have to wait as the feature will initially roll out in Britain, Thailand, Australia, Canada, Columbia and France. 

Many of the users have already forgotten outmoded poke feature and barely used these days. Under redesigning, the “Hello” button will appear on their profile. By holding the button other options will appear on screen.

This is not all, if you mistakenly send the greeting to wrong person you can “undo” also.

More interestingly, each greeting will interact with your friend’s profile in a distinctive manner such as “hug” greeting will embrace your friend’s profile picture, while “poke” will give a nudge.

These days, social media blogging site also looking to develop the use of artificial intelligence to identify members of the leading social network who may be thinking of suicide.
