Facebook, on Friday, launched a new feature button on its News Feed.

The company launched the Snooze’ option for users to mute people, groups or pages for a period of 30 days. The feature gives the user more control of what they wish to see on their News Feed.

The new option will be available at the top-right down menu on any post and will mute the content from the specific person, page or group for 30 days.

This feature shuts down content from people the user does not wish to obtain from without unfollowing them. The feature is also available for Facebook chats.

The Snooze feature becomes a part of the other added features that the social-networking sites has, like Unfollow, Hide, Report, Block and See First, which are way of customizing one’s News Feed.

This feature has come at a time when everyone around is questioning whether social platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp have a negative impact on people and the society.

A site where a person can tune everything to see only that information which he likes can lead to an addiction and an inability to relate to different people and opinions.

The site’s too much tune in with new features like Snooze are the rising concerns that Facebook’s social network can become too much comfortable for the people.
