Samsung Galaxy A80 was recently launched in India. The smartphone will be available for pre-booking in the country from August 1 onwards. As per the prices and specification of Samsung Galaxy A80, the smartphone will face tough competition from OnePlus 7 Pro and Nokia 9 PureView. It is to be noted that OnePlus 7 Pro and Nokia 9 PureView are already available for sale in India. Samsung Galaxy A80
Samsung Galaxy A80 features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Super AMOLED 'New Infinity Display' with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It further houses an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone has a dual-SIM (Nano) and runs Android Pie with One UI on top. Also, there us ab octa-core Snapdragon 730G SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM.
On the imagining front, Samsung Galaxy A80 comes equipped with a rotating camera setup that includes the 48-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, the camera setup of the Galaxy A80 slides up and rotates once selected the selfie mode.
The device comes with a 128GB of onboard storage. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C.
The smartphone packs a 3,700mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The phone will come with Angel Gold, Ghost White and Phantom Black colour options.
There is only one variant of Samsung Galaxy A80 i.e. 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and it costs Rs 47,990.
It will go on sale from August 1 onwards via all major mobile retail stores including major mobile retail stores, Samsung India online store, Samsung Opera House, and all major leading online channels in India.
Nokia 9 PureView
Nokia 9 PureView runs on Android 9 Pie and features a 5.99-inch Quad-HD+ (1440x2960 pixels) POLED screen with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The premium smartphone, which has dual-SIM (Nano), also features next-generation Pro Camera user-interface, which allows the consumers to take effective control of the penta-lens setup, including allowing them to take native monochrome shots.
It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM. The device further include 128GB of inbuilt storage and 3,320mAh battery with wireless charging support.
On the optics front, the smartphone comes equipped with five rear cameras with Zeiss certified lenses, which are joined by three 12-megapixel monochrome sensors and two 12-megapixel RGB sensors. Also, there is a 20-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC are other connectivity options the smartphone carries. It is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance and packs a USB Type-C port. However, there is no 3.5mm audio jack on the phone. The phone will be offered in its Midnight Blue colour.
The smartphone costs Rs 49,999 and is being retailed via Flipkart and Nokia website.
OnePlus 7 Pro
OnePlus 7 pro gets a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED screen with curved edges, Quad-HD+ (3120x1440 pixels) resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate and also HDR10+ support.
The OnePlus 7 Pro also gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm chipset running on eight Kryo cores.
OnePlus 7 Pro comes in three variants - 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM+256GB storage and 12GB RAM+256GB storage.
The battery capacity of the phone has been bumped to 3700mAh to 4000mAh with Warp Charge. The phone also gets dual-speakers with 3D sound helped by Dolby Atmos.
On the imagining front, OnePlus 7 Pro gets a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera on the front. It has a triple-lens rear camera comprising a 48MP (f/1.7) primary sensor with OIS, joined by a 16MP (f/2.2) wide-angle lens with 117-degree field-of-view. The cameras also get PDAF, AI detection and laser autofocus.
OnePlus 7 Pro starts at Rs 48,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, and Rs 52,999 for the 8GB+256GB model. The premium 12GB+256GB variant of OnePlus 7 Pro is priced at Rs 57,999.
