New Delhi:

Tech giant Google on Wednesday said that seven more Indian languages including Bengali, Gujarati and Kannada will be supported by its ‘Translate’ app. This app will allow users to translate even visuals from English to these regional languages.

The US-based firm in a statement said, “In an effort to bring down language barriers, Google today announced several updates to its Translate App. Google Translate has also added support for conversation mode in regional languages including Bengali and Tamil.”

The seven regional languages include Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Urdu, Tamil, Kannada and Bengali. The users will now be able to experience offline translations and instant visual translation in these languages, the tech giant added.

Even without no internet connection, the offline support will enable Indian language users to translate a word or sentence.

The users will need to download the specific language pack from the Translate app to use offline translations capabilities.
