Did you search Google yesterday? If yes, then you would not have got any new information. Reason - Google was having issues notably indexing. It is to be noted that Google’s search indexing had stopped processing new pages from many of the internet’s largest websites. However, don’t worry, the issues have been fixed by the company.

Yesterday afternoon, Google’s search indexing servers started having issues, with many sites finding their newer content not being included in results. The issue also appeared to be impacting sites that use Google Custom Search, with new pages not appearing in those results either.

In a tweet, Google also confirmed the issue and said, "We're aware of reports of indexing issues that are impacting some sites beginning earlier today. We'll provide another update when we have more information to share."

It later acknowledged that there is also an issue with the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console.

Taking immediate action on it, Google has managed to resolve the issue partially. It is worth mentioning here that among all, some of the pages created during the outage are now appearing in Google searches and Google News.

It is worth mentioning here that this is not the first time when Google’s indexing has had a major issue. In May this year, Google Search indexing came to a complete stop, with no websites appearing in “past hour” searches for sites or news. At that time, Google resolved the issue within few hours.
