Chinese company Huawei launched its new mid-range smartphone Nova 2s in China's Beijing on Thursday. The recently launched smartphone is an advance version of Honor 9i with dual-camera setup in the front and rear.
Huawei has introduced the recently launched phone with four cameras with dual-camera setup at the rear front having 20mp primary lens and 16mp secondary lens, and the front camera has 20mp+2mp dual lens.
The phone has full 6-inch HD+ display with resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels that translates to 18:9 ratio.
The handset is driven by the company’s own Kirin 960 chipset and comes in three storage variants, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and the other with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card, along with a special edition variant of the phone “Yixing Zhangâ€.
The sensors of the rear camera come with f/1.8 aperture and support 2x zoom level along with 4K video recording. The front camera sensors come with f/2.0 aperture and support 1080p video recording.
The handset supports EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo and has connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C port and Near-Field Communication (NFC). It comes with a 3340mAH non-removable battery and has a front-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The phone has a quality framework made out of metal and glass and weights about 169 grams.
The 4GB model of Nova 2s is priced at 2,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 27,000) while the 6GB variant is priced at 2,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 30,000) and will be available in colour options of black, red, rose gold and blue.
The Nova 2s handset will compete with other smartphones like Oppo R11s and Vivo V7+ in the market.
