Chinese smartphone maker Huawei launched its new smartphone Huawei P30 Pro in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 71,990, the smartphone will go on sale via Amazon. This price segment is currently dominated by Samsung and iPhone maker Apple. Huawei competitor Oppo has also made an entry into the ultra-premium segment but it is yet to breach the USD 1,000 price mark.
Huawei India Consumer Business Group Country Manager (Huawei Brand) Tornado Pan said the smartphone, P30 Pro, is priced at Rs 71,990 (USD 1,038) because of high-end technology used in the device, which is certified by international bodies such as The World At Night (TWAN) and TV Rheinland.
"India is a strategic market for us and we are committed to bringing in new products to the Indian market," Pan said.
Pan said Huawei is looking at expanding its product portfolio in the market and will look at launching laptops, internet of thing (IoT) devices, wearables and other products available globally.
Huawei launches P30 Pro Specifications
Huawei P30 is powered by a Kirin 980 processor paired with 8 GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It sports a 6.47-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) OLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Huawei P30 packs a 4,200mAh battery and supports Huawei's 40W Super Charge technology. The phone also retains the reverse wireless charging feature seen on the Mate 20 Pro. The phone runs on Android Pie with EMUI 9.1 on top.
On the camera front, It features a 40-megapixel primary SuperSpectrum sensor with a wide-angle lens. A 20-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and an f/2.2 aperture. The third camera smartphone has is an 8-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens. The fourth camera in the setup is a Huawei time-of-flight (ToF) sensor.
For selfies, Huawei P30 Pro sports a 32-megapixel front camera.
Huawei P30 Pro include a no-cost EMI of up to 18 months and 5 per cent cashback on purchase from Amazon and Croma stores.
