Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G have been launched in China. The key features on both the Nova-series smartphones include triple rear camera setup, a hole-punch display design, and a large battery, among others. Yes, you read it right. The two Nova-series smartphones come with a similar list of specifications, except the Balong 5000 5G modem that's limited to the Nova 6 5G.
Huawei Nova 6 & Nova 6 5G: Price & Sale Details
The price for the lone 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration of Huawei Nova 6 has been set at CNY 3,199 (approx. Rs 32,400). The smartphone comes in Black, Blue, and Violet colour options.
On the other hand, the price for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of Huawei Nova 6 5G has been set at CNY 3,799 (approx. Rs 38,400). Its 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option is priced at CNY 4,199 (approx. Rs 42,500). The smartphone comes in Black, Blue, Red, and Violet colour options.
Both Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G are now available for pre-orders in China through VMall. However, the two phones will go on sale starting December 12.
Huawei Nova 6 & Nova 6 5G: Specifications
Both Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G feature a 6.57-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) LTPS display with 20:9 aspect ratio. Both the smartphones run Android 10 with EMUI 10.0.1 on top. The two newly-launched devices are powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 990 SoC, coupled with Mali-G76 GPU and 8GB of RAM. Importantly, the 5G model has the Balong 5000 5G modem on the distinct part.
On the imaging front, Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G have the triple rear camera setup that houses a 40-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, paired with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor that has an f/2.4 telephoto lens. Also, there is an 8-megapixel tertiary camera with an f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, both the smartphones come equipped with the dual selfie camera setup that includes a 32-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens.
Huawei Nova 6 comes in single, 128GB of onboard storage option. Whereas, Huawei Nova 6 5G comes in two different models i.e. 128GB and 256GB storage variants.
Connectivity options Nova-series smartphones include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. Both the phones also have an array of sensors that includes an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor in both the phones.

Huawei Nova 6 packs a 4,100mAh battery, while the Nova 6 5G has a 4,200mAh battery along with 40W fast charging support. Nova 6 measures 162.6x75.7x8.56mm and weighs 197 grams. In comparison, the Nova 6 5G measures 162.7x75.8x8.98mm and weighs 212 grams.
