Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 was launched in India on August 2. The key features of Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 include pop-up selfie camera, triple rear-camera, notch-less display, a Kirin 710F chipset and 4,000mAh battery. The smartphone is already available on sale via Amazon India. And now, the smartphone has gone on sale via offline retailers including Croma and Poorvika. It is worth mentioning here that in the first wave, the smartphone will be available across cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Cochin, Chennai, and Bengaluru. More cities will be added soon in the second wave.
Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is an upgraded variant of the Huawei Y9 that was launched in India in January, 2019. Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 features 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) LCD screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by octa-core Kirin 710F processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. The upgraded variant of Huawei Y9 runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.0.
On the imagining front, Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup, which sports a 16-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a third 2-megapixel sensor. The main camera comes with a 6P lens to allow more light for brighter photos and AI scene detection. Also, there is a 16-megapixel sensor on the front, which is a part of the pop-up selfie camera module.
Other features the phone include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity support, a rear fingerprint sensor, GPS, USB-Type C and 4G LTE support. Further, it has 4,000mAh battery. The device measures 163.5x77.3x8.8mm and it weighs 196.8 grams. The handset also sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 costs Rs 15,990. The smartphone is available in Emerald Green and Sapphire Blue colours. Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 will compete against likes of the Realme X and Oppo K3 in India.
It is to be noted that Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is already being retailed in the countries like Chile, Saudi Arabia and Kenya.
