Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is all set to be launched today in India. It is worth mentioning here that Amazon India began teasing the launch of the smartphone last month. The e-retailer had then confirmed the launch of Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 to take place in India on August 1, 2019. It is to be noted that Huawei Y9 Prime is already being retailed in the countries like Chile, Saudi Arabia and Kenya. The key highlights of the Huawei Y9 Prime include pop-up selfie camera, notch-less display and 4,000mAh battery.
Huawei Y9 Prime 2019: Specifications (Expected)
Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is an upgraded variant of the Huawei Y9 that was launched in India in January this year. The upgraded variant of Huawei Y9 runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.0. The smartphone features a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) LCD screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by octa-core Kirin 710F processor, paired with 4GB of RAM.
On the optics front, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup, which sports a 16-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a third 2-megapixel sensor. Also, there is a 16-megapixel sensor on the front, which is a part of the pop-up selfie camera module.
The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 comes with two storage options i.e. 64GB and 128GB. Other features the phone include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity support, a rear fingerprint sensor, GPS, USB-Type C and 4G LTE support. Further, it has 4,000mAh battery. The device measures 1 63.5x77.3x8.8mm and it weighs 196.8 grams.
Huawei Y9 2019: Price (Expected)
The India pricing of Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is yet to be known. It is expected that the smartphone will be retailed at around Rs 20,000. However, the phone is currently being retailed at KSH 23,499 (4GB + 128) (approx. Rs 15,700) in Kenya, at SAR 969 (approx. Rs 17,800) in Saudi Arabia, and at $249.99 (approx. Rs 17,150) in Chile. So, we can expect a price-tag around Rs. 16-17,000 in India.
Globally, Huawei Y9 Prime 2019was launched in three colour options - Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Sapphire Blue. The smartphone is likely to arrive in the same colour options in India as well.
