iQOO 15: Smartphone with 7000 mAh Battery, Samsung 2K M14 LEAD OLED display launched - check price & specs

iQOO, the Chinese smartphone brand, on Wednesday launched its latest flagship device - the iQOO 15 - in India. The smartphone has been launched as the successor to the iQOO 13, and it was already unveiled in China recently. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset powers the smartphone, which comes with a massive 7,000mAh battery.

iQOO 15: Features & specs

The company says that the iQOO 15 comes with OriginOS 6, and the new user interface is similar to what Apple offers in the form of its Liquid Glass design. The new user interface is already available in China. The smartphone has round app icons, while the widgets get smooth, curved edges. Other notable features under this system include upgrades like stacked notifications, progressive blur, and real-time blur effects.

The handset also gets a new Atomic Island, similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island. It displays live alerts on the screen and allows users to manage music playback and control functions like starting or stopping a stopwatch.

According to the company, it is the first Android smartphone to feature Samsung 2K M14 LEAD OLED display. Eqipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, India's fastest processor, the handset claims to offer 144fps gameplay. Furthermore, it also claims to get 'largest single layer VC cooling system', which keeps temperatures low even while playing games.

As for the camera, the iQOO 15 houses a triple camera unit which includes a 50MP Sony IMX 921 Ultra-Stable Main lens, a 50MP Periscope Telephoto with up to 100x Digital Zoom, and a 50MP Ultra Wide Angle shooter.

The smartphone features dolby vision and wireless charging and is dust and water resistant. It offers 256 and 512 GB storage. 

The company has also claimed that the iQOO 15 is India's first dual axis vibration motor smartphone. "iQOO 15 gives every swipe and trigger a more precise and deeper feel," it said.

A 100W FlashCharge is one of the key highlights of the device and is said to charge the phone within minutes.

iQOO 15: Price and availability in India

The base variant of iQOO 15 with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at Rs 72,999, while the top variant with 16GB RAM + 512GB storage costs Rs 79,999. With an introductory offer by the company, there is an instant bank discount of Rs 7,000, which takes the effective prices of the two variants down to Rs 64,999 and Rs 71,999, respectively.

The device will be available on Amazon from December 1 at 12pm for all users. Those having the Priority Pass will be able to buy it startng Novemver 27 at noon.
