Latest WhatsApp bug is allowing blocked users to send messages, view status, photo

WhatsApp is again hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons. In a strange turn of events, the users are complaining about a new bug that lets blocked users send messages.

The bug seems to have taken both the iOS and Android apps for a ride.

In the troublesome bug, the blocked person is able to send messages and reportedly is being able to view a person’s WhatsApp profile photo and Status.

If you block someone on whatsapp, how can they still send you messages but you have to unblock them if you want to reply

The ‘Block’ feature, lets a person from accessing your profile, view photos and Status and also send messages. This feature enable one to remain safe from stalking or any sort of online abuse.

However, the bug is only reportedly affecting a particular set of users.

Meanwhile, online reports have followed up with a solution to this problem. The reports include unblocking and block the user again.
