LG joined Amazon’s Prime Exclusive Phone Program on Thursday and is now offering four smartphones at a discount. However, customers will have to put up with watching some ads on their lock screen. LG is now offering four handsets, G6, G6 Plus, LG Q6 and LG X Charge.

Amazon already has Motorola, Alcatel and Nokia as partners in its Prime Exclusive Phone Program, but its deal with LG stands out. Prime Exclusive phones are the phones offered at reduced rates and Amazon puts ads on the lock screen.

Discount sale prices are provided to Amazon Prime members only.Amazon’s Prime Exclusive Phone program gives a lot of benefits to the users also. For example, with a $650 to $700 retail price, the G6 today sells for $500 on T-Mobile and $586 on AT&T.

It's offered at $400 through Amazon Prime.Further, Amazon Prime members will also get the midrange LG Q6 for $230, or the LG X Charge for $150.

Amazon’s Prime Exclusive phones are also preloaded with apps such as Prime Video, Prime Music and Prime Photo. If Amazon’s Kindles — which are offered with this same ad-based discount — are anything to go by, people are clearly willing to put up with some ads if it means saving money.
