LG launched the new flagship smartphone V30S ThinQ ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018. The new LG V30S ThinQ is the successor to the prior LG V30 and is designed with new artificial intelligence (AI) powered technologies.

The latest flagship also features LG’s ThinQ AI-powered brand which was expanded at the CES 2018 in January and is already on board on some smart TV models. Along with the LG V30 S ThinQ, the LG V30S+ ThinQ was also launched.

Both the flagship smartphones pack twice their predecessor’s unbuilt storage.

Features of LG V30S ThinQ

The major focus made by the company on the new smartphone was to enhance the camera and voice recognition experience, which resulted in the company to build its Vision AI and Voice AI technologies.

The Vision AI offers three new camera features namely AI Cam, QLens, and Bright Mode. The camera is made to catch subjects in the frame and recommend optimal shooting mdoe among eight categories namely portrait, food, pet, landscape, city, flower, sunrise, and sunset. QLens, on the other hand, allows the users to scan QR codes to improve the online shopping experience.

LG has also improved the low lighting photography on the new LG V30S ThinQ, and the set comes with a preloaded Bright Mode.

Specifications of LG V30S ThinQ

The new flagship smartphone packs a 6 GB RAM plus twice the inbuilt storage on the base variant. Acclaimed as the thinnest and the lightest among the other smartphones, the LG V30S ThinQ comes with 6-inch or more QHD+ display screen.

The smartphone comes in two colour variants, a new Moroccan Blue with a green tint, and a new Platinum Grey colour.

Based on Android 8.0 Oreo, the smartphone has UX 6.0+ interface and OLED FullVision display with 18:9 ratio aspect. The smartphone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with 6 GB RAM.

On the camera front, the smartphone comes with 16-mp primary camera lens, and 13-mp secondary camera lens on the rear end, while at the front end, a 5-mp lens is provided for taking clear selfies. The phone comes with a whooping 128 GB internal storage capacity, while the LG V30S+ ThinQ comes with 256 GB internal storage capacity.
