Now Moto Z owners can update their smart phones to Android 7.1.1 Nougat. However, people using the phone in India will have to wait for few more days.
Lenovo owned Motorola has initially rolled out the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for Moto Z in Hong Kong and Indonesia only.
Motorola had launched Moto Z featured with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Later, the smartphone was updated to Android 7.0 Nougat.
The latest update Android 7.1.1 Nougat brings several enhancements which includes app shortcuts through which the users can easily access their favourite apps by simply long pressing the app icon, multi-tasking features, split-screen multitasking, customisable quick settings, improved Google keyboard, better battery life, enhanced notifications and recent applications window.

With the installation of 7.1.1 Nougat, Moto Z users will have access to the duo video chat app, send GIFs directly from the keyboard on apps like Google Messenger. With update also comes the July 2017 security patch.
On getting notification for the update, the users should be connected to Wi-Fi connection and ensure their phones are sufficiently charged. If users do not receive a notification they can check for the update manually by going to Settings>About Phones>Software updates.
