Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is one of the most played and best-rated first-person shooter games on mobile platforms. But there is a bad news for the fans of the critically acclaimed shooter game as the players won’t be able to play it for several hours on Monday.
PUBG mobile players are getting a ‘maintenance notice’, that is informing them of a downtime that will last for nearly 8 hours.
The notification states that PUBG mobile will be "taken offline for maintenance from 00:00:00 to 08:00:00 (UTC) on July 23, 2018."
During this eight hours, players won’t be enjoy PUBG on their smartphones, but the notification says the service could be up sooner or later depending on the progress.
Game developer Tencent Games have not revealed any reason behind the maintenance. Season 2 content was added the last time a similar maintenance took place.
PUBG debuted on mobile platform in March and has become one of the most popular mobile games, closely rivalled by battle royale game Fortnite on iOS.
