HMD Global has finally decided to slash the prices of its Nokia 3.1 Plus by Rs 1,500, making it now the cheapest Nokia smartphone that is part of the Android One Program. The handset was launched in India at a price of Rs 11,499 and now it is available at Rs 9,999. NokiaPowerUser is now featuring the new prices but HMD Global is yet to update the new prices on its online portal. However, the handset is available with new prices on e-commerce portals including Flipkart and Amazon.

Earlier, the smartphone manufacturer announced the price cut for its flagship handsets including Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 7.1 in the Indian market and now finally decided to cut down the price for Nokia 3.1 as well.

Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with a 6-inch HD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 1280x720. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with an octa-core CPU coupled with 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage. The memory of Nokia 3.1 can be expanded up to 400 GB via MicroSD card.

On optics front, Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with a dual camera setup at the back with 13 MP and 5 MP camera lens with Phase Detection Auto Focus along with Bokeh mode. For selfies, it sports a 8-megapixel wide-angle camera lens with f2.2 aperture.  

Nokia 3.1 runs on Android Oreo and is fuelled by a 3500mAh battery can run for a complete day. Its predecessor Nokia 3.1 was available with The handset is available in three colour options, Blue, White and Baltic.

The smartphone comes with VoLTE, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and AGPS and sensors including Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer (G-sensor), E-compass, Gyroscope, Fingerprint sensor.

Recently, HMD Global also announced price deduction of Nokia 5.1. It was earlier available for Rs 10,999. "Nokia 5.1 Plus will also receive a price cut of Rs 400 and will be sold at a price of Rs 10,599 in retail stores," reported NokiaPowerUser. However, the price through online platforms will remain unchanged. HMD Global wants to attract users in its offline segment to strengthen its brand name and presence in the real world, according to reports.
