HMD Global has now decided to offer Nokia 5.1 Plus through the offline market. The smartphone will be available for buyers from January 15. The company has also announced the price drop of Nokia 5.1 Plus. Nokia 5.1 Plus was earlier available for Rs 10,999. "Nokia 5.1 Plus will also receive a price cut of Rs 400 and will be sold at a price of Rs 10,599 in retail stores," reported NokiaPowerUser. However, the price through online platforms will remain unchanged. HMD Global wants to attract users in its offline segment to strengthen its brand name and presence in the real world, according to reports.

Nokia 5.1 Plus specifications

Nokia 5.1 Plus comes with a 5.86 (inch), 720×1520 resolution display which makes it a 19:9 ratio display. It comes with a notch like Nokia X6. There is 2.5D curved glass on both sides with a premium-looking high gloss finish.

Nokia 5.1 Plus paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 400GB via microSD card. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 12nm processor coupled with ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.  The phone runs stock Android Oreo 8.1 which is upgradable to Android 9.0 Pie, it also supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD) connectivity.

Nokia 5.1 Plus under the hood includes a non-removable Li-Ion 3,060mAh battery with 5V/2A fast charging technology. The card-negative one-screen desktop assistant helps you manage your daily life with ease and brings a ubiquitous and intimate smart experience.

On the camera front, Nokia 5.1 Plus sports a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor, along with an LED flash module. For selfies, Nokia 5.1 Plus gets an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone also has the AI-powered photography features. 

Connectivity options on the Nokia 5.1 Plus include dual-SIMs (Nano), 4G VoLTE (Cat. 4), Wi-Fi 802.11a/c, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C (v2.0), and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In terms of sensors, Nokia 5.1 Plus has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope and proximity sensor. For unlocking the smartphone also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
