Nokia is gearing up to launch its new smartphone Nokia 8.1 in India. The handset is coming as a successor to last year’s Nokia 8. The phone is expected to be announced alongside the budget Nokia 2.1 Plus, according to reports. Nokia India took to Twitter to tease the new smartphone with the hashtag 'Expect More'. It is speculated that the device will be the Nokia 8.1 as the company is yet to announce the global variant of the same.

The Nokia 8.1 price in India might be set around Rs 23,999. Given that the launch event is slated to happen in a few more days, we can get to know more details soon. On Friday, the company quietly announced the Nokia 7.1 in India.
Nokia 8.1 expected specifications
Nokia 8.1 comes with a larger display of 6.18-inch full-HD+ display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass.
Nokia 8.1 is equipped with 64GB and 128GB inbuilt storage options, expandable via microSD card (up to 400GB) and 4GB and 6GB of RAM. The smartphone will ship with stock version of Android Pie out-of-the-box.
Nokia 8.1 is fuelled by a 3,500mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS, micro-USD port, OTG support, and 3.5mm audio jack, reports suggest.

On the camera front, there is a dual rear camera setup with a primary 12-megapixel sensor and a secondary 13-megapixel sensor and a secondary sensor for portrait support, coupled with an LED flash.
For selfies, the device will bear a 20-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and fixed focus.
