New Delhi:

Nokia’s comeback into the smartphone market this year has brought about a great deal of joy to its brand loyalists, and the popularity of the gadgets can be seen in the fact about the supply in stores getting finished in a jiffy. With four devices already launched, Nokia is yet to unveil a flagship level smartphone to the world. Supposedly to be called the Nokia 9, the device has been seen on GeekBench again disclosing key specifications.

The latest GeekBench listing contains a Nokia device codenamed ‘Unknown Heart’ and it has flagship level specs, insinuating that it is the much-rumoured Nokia 9. The listing claims that the Nokia 9 operates on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat, runs on the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC, and is paired with an enormous 8GB of RAM.

This disproves previous tales of 4GB of RAM spotted on GeekBench earlier on a supposed HMD Global TA-1004 device that was also said to be the Nokia 9. Other alleged specifications include a 5.3-inch QHD display, 64GB of inbuilt storage, and a dual 13-megapixel camera setup. It is thought to support Quick Charge 4.0 also. The Nokia 9 is also predicted to be tagged at EUR 750 (roughly Rs. 54,100), which is high and contests directly with the most high-end flagships in the market.

Along with this, a Nokia device codenamed RX-100 has been disclosed on Chinese site Teiba revealing a device with a QWERTY keypad, probably with business users as targets. The images corroborate with a device divulged back in 2012, where Nokia was stated to be developing a QWERTY keypad phone operating on Windows Phone 8 at that time.

Looks like that project hasn’t been cancelled yet, and Nokia still proposes to launch a QWERTY keypad smartphone soon. The pictures reveal a block device with the display on top, and the keypad at the bottom. The device appears to be rather thick to be handheld, but this may be just a dummy unit, and a more perfected option will be launched in the market.
