HMD Global finally introduced its much-anticipated and world's first penta-lens camera system Nokia 9 PureView along with Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 210, Nokia 1 Plus at the MWC 2019 event. The main attraction of the handset is its five Zeiss lenses out of which three are monochrome lenses which capture life-like images. The handset was in rumours since last year and now is finally out.
The Nokia 9 PureView comes with a huge 5.99-inch Quad HD pOLED display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by a 2.8GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 GPU. It will come in a 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of internal storage and runs on Android 9.0 Pie.
On optics front, Nokia 9 PureView comes with a penta rear camera with f/1.82 aperture and LED flash and for selfies it sports a 20-megapixel front camera.

The smartphone is priced at $699 in the global market which is roughly equal to Rs 50,000 and is expected to be available for sale from March in the Indian market. The Nokia 9 PureView is 8mm thick, and also has IP67 water- and dust-resistance rating, and it supports wireless charging.
Ajey Mehta, vice president and country head, India, HMD told indianexpress.com, ''HMD Global is looking at bringing all five phones to India, which were launched at its global event in Barcelona earlier this week, including the camera-centric Nokia 9 Pureview. The announcement is expected to be made in three to four months''.
“The exact price we will announce at a closer date of launch. Of course, it has been declared at a global price of $699, roughly where it is likely to land in India as well'', he added.
