HMD Global has recently launched Nokia C1 globally. The key features on Nokia C1 include a quad-core processor, pop-up cameras, and 2,500mAh battery, among others. Nokia's new phone is yet to be launched in India. After India launch, Nokia C1 will compete against Redmi Note 8 and Realme 5. So, News Nation brings to you the comparison between Nokia C1, Redmi Note 8, and Realme 5 on the basis of specifications, features, and price.

Nokia C1

Nokia C1 features a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ IPS display and is powered by an unidentified quad-core processor that is clocked at 1.3GHz. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and is powered by an unidentified quad-core processor that is clocked at 1.3GHz. Also, the phone includes a Micro-USB port, a dedicated Google Assistant button, and 1GB of RAM.

On the imaging front, Nokia C1 comes equipped with a single 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 on the back. Also, there is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. The phone further includes a flash on both front and back.

The device packs a 2,500mAh removable battery. Among other specifications, Nokia C1 include 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, 16GB of onboard storage, and a microSD card slot (up to 64GB). The phone only supports 3G. The smartphone measures 147.6 x 71.4 x 8.7mm and weighs 155 grams.

The price for Nokia C1 is yet to be revealed. The phone will soon go on sale in Africa, the Middle East, and the Asian Pacific. The smartphone will be made available in Black and Red colour options. It will also be launched in India soon.

Redmi Note 8

Redmi 8 sports a 6.22-inch HD+ Dot Notch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

On the imaging front, Redmi 8 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup that houses a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the front. The dual rear camera setup is preloaded AI Portrait and AI Scene Detection features. The phone is also touted to recognise 33 scene categories, including six India-specific categories. Also, there is artificial intelligence (AI) powered features, including Face Unlock. Further, the phone has a fingerprint sensor at the back.

Redmi 8 has 64GB of onboard storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB) with a dedicated slot. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, infrared, wireless FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The entry-level smartphone comes with a new Aura Mirror Design at the back. Redmi 8 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Redmi 8 is available in Oynx Black, Ruby Red, and Sapphire Blue colour options. It also has a splash-resistant P2i coating on top.

The price for Redmi 8 in India has been set at Rs 7,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. On the other hand, the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of Redmi 8 costs Rs 8,999. However, for the first five million units, the device with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is available with an introductory price of Rs 7,999.

Realme 5

Realme 5 features a 6.5-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ for protection. The smartphone, which has dual-SIM (Nano), runs Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with up to 4GB of RAM.

On the imagining front, Realme 5 sports a quad rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. There is electronic image stabilisation (EIS) tech included as well. On the front, Realme 5 houses a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

Connectivity options on Realme 5 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, a GPS/ A-GPS, a3.5mm headphone jack and a Micro-USB port. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, a magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. Realme 5 comes in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB inbuilt storage options, expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). Realme 5 packs a 5,000mAh.

The device has dimensions of 164.4x75.6x9.3mm and it weighs 198 grams. Also, there is a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. The 3GB of RAM and 32GB variant of Realme 5 costs Rs 9,999. On the other hand, the 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB variants are priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively. The smartphone is available in Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple colour options.
