Nubia Red Magic 3S was launched in India on Thursday. The key features of the newly-launched gaming smartphone include 6.65-inch full-HD+ display, a 48-megapixel camera, and a 5,000mAh battery, among others. On the competition front in India, Nubia Red Magic 3S is up against Asus ROG phone 2, which is also a gaming phone. The key features on the Asus ROG Phone 2 include Snapdragon 855+ SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 3.0 of internal storage. It also comes with upgraded ultrasonic Air Triggers 2 for gaming, stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra support and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Nubia Red Magic 3S
Nubia Red Magic 3S sports a 6.65-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Nubia Red Magic 3S supports dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) technology and runs Android 9 Pie. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with up to 256GB of inbuilt UFS 3.0 storage.
On the imaging front, Nubia Red Magic 3S comes equipped with a single rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. Also, there is a 16-megapixel Sony camera with an f/2.0 aperture on the front.
Connectivity features on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device further has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. Also, there is a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.
It measures 171.7x78.5x9.65mm and weighs 215 grams. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging.
It also boasts stereo-speakers, DTS:X audio support, 3D sound tech, touch-sensitive shoulder triggers, a game boost button, as well as the distinctive RGB lighting. There is liquid cooling on the Nubia Red Magic 3S, featuring an inbuilt cooling fan.
The price for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of Nubia Red Magic 3S in India has been set at Rs 35,999 and it will be available in a Mecha Silver (Space Grey) colour option.
On the other hand, the top-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs Rs 47,999 and it will be available in Cyber Shade (Red and Blue) colour variant.
The gaming phone will go on sale starting October 21 via Flipkart.
Asus ROG Phone 2
Asus ROG Phone 2 features a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and 10-bit HDR support.
The phone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs ROG UI based on Android Pie. The gaming-centric phone of Asus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, paired with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 of internal storage.
On the imaging front, Asus ROG Phone 2 comes equipped with a 48 MP Sony IMX 586 sensor which uses a quad-bayer technology and f/1.79 aperture. The primary camera is accompanied by a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 125-degrees field of view. For selfies, there is a 24-megapixel shooter.
Asus ROG Phone 2 packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4.0 fast-charging standard. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.
Asus' new offering sports dual front-facing stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra support and features Air Trigger 2, the upgraded version of the Asus ROG Phone's ultrasonic shoulder buttons for a console controller-like gaming experience.

The price for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of Asus ROG Phone 2 has been set at Rs 37,999. Whereas, the higher-end 12GB + 512GB variant of the Asus ROG Phone 2 carries a price tag of Rs 59,999.
