Oppo A8 was recently launched at an event held in China. It is to be noted that the device is a part of the Chinese company’s mid-range A-series phones. The key features on Oppo A8 include triple rear camera setup, 6.5-inch HD Display, and 4,230mAh battery, among others. Also, on the occasion, Oppo A91 was launched.
Oppo A8: Price & Availability
The price for the sole 4GB+128GB variant of Oppo A8 in China has been set at CNY 1,199 (approx. Rs 12,000). The smartphone is available for pre-order in China via Oppo online store. However, the smartphone will go on sale from December 26. Oppo A8 comes in Azure and Black colour options. However, there is no word on its availability in international markets, including India.
Oppo A8: Specifications
Oppo A8 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) display with 89 per cent screen-to-body ratio and a waterdrop notch at the top. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Importantly, the internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB through a microSD card slot.
On the imaging front, Oppo A8 comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 12-megapixel main camera, assisted by a 2-megapixel wide-angle shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
It packs a 4,230mAh battery. The smartphone maker claims that the battery lasts up to 14 hours while watching videos and 7 hours of online gaming in the full charge. The device runs Android Pie with ColorOS 6.1 on top and offers Dirac sound effect for better audio output.
