Oppo F15 has recently gone on open sale in India via Amazon.in, Flipkart, Oppo India online store, and offline retailers. The key features on the smartphone include quad rear camera setup, 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, in-display fingerprint sensor, and 4,000mAh battery, among others. On the competition front in India, Oppo F15 is up against Samsung Galaxy M40 and Vivo Z1 Pro. Oppo F15

Oppo F15 sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED display with 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen of Oppo F15 has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and the In-Display Fingerprint 3.0. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.1.2. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 (MT6771V) SoC, paired with Mali G72 MP3 GPU and 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It has 128GB of UFS 2.1 onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).

On the imaging front, Oppo F15 comes equipped with the quad rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens. The primary camera is assisted by an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle lens that has a field-of-view (FoV) of 119 degrees. There are also two 2-megapixel sensors with f/2.4 lenses. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor along with an f/2.0 lens.

Connectivity options on the phone 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the other hand, sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, pedometer, and a proximity sensor. The smartphone has preloaded gaming features such as Game Boost 2.0, Gaming Voice Changer, and In-Game Noise Cancelling Effects. It packs a 4,000mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. The phone measures 160.2x73.3x7.9mm and weigh 172 grams.

The price of the lone 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of Oppo F15 in India has been set at Rs 19,990. The smartphone comes in Lightening Black and Unicorn White colour options.

Samsung Galaxy M40

The smartphone weighs 168 grams and has 7.9mm of thickness. The Samsung Galaxy M40 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Infinity-O Display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 480 nits of brightness. The device runs 9 Pie with One UI on top and has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, paired with Adreno 612 GPU and 6GB of RAM.

As far as the optics are concerned, the smartphone is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 32-megapixel primary shooter. There’s also a 5-megapixel secondary and an 8-megapixel tertiary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 16-megapixel shooter on the front. On the space front, the Galaxy M40 has 128GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB).

It packs a 3,500mAh battery which is paired with a 15W fast charging technology. On the connectivity front, the smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS and a USB Type-C port. It is to be noted that there is a fingerprint sensor at the back. Samsung Galaxy M40 comes in two colour options i.e. Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue gradient. The smartphone is available through Amazon.in and Samsung Online Shop with a price tag of Rs 19,990.

Vivo Z1 Pro

Vivo Z1 Pro is the first smartphone to be powered with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC in India. The new SoC is based on a 10nm manufacturing process and includes eight Kryo 360 CPU cores clocked at up to 2.3GHz and Adreno 616 GPU. It also includes Center Turbo, AI Turbo, Net Turbo, Cooling Turbo and Game Turbo features with an aim to improve the gaming performance.

The smartphone will be housing a 32-megapixel in-display (company speaks for hole-punch) selfie camera and triple rear camera setup with LED flash. It will further pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support as well as a rear fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone is already available for sale. Vivo Z1 is offered in three storage variants - 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB. The prices for 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants are Rs 16,990 and Rs 17,990 respectively.
