Paytm, which is an Indian electronic payment and e-commerce company, is expected to launch a chat messenger in its app for its user base to have seamless communication, according to sources. It will help its users, who are over 230 million in number to directly communicate with each other without being dependent on another messaging app.

According to reports, Paytm will be going to launch this new feature in the coming few days. However, none of such reports have been confirmed by any of the Paytm officials.

The move can be seen as a result of the growing competition among similar apps who have adding payment feature. Unified Payment Interface (UPI) was introduced by Hike Messenger in its app last month. On the other hand, WhatsApp is also planning to do the same later this year.
