PUBG: THIS city decides to ban online game, will become India’s first

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG is one of the most popular online games and its popularity is now becoming a health hazard for many. Several government and school authorities have taken steps demanding ban of the game and now Surat is on the verge to become the first city in India to ban the online game.

Recently, Gujarat’s Surat district has asked the government to take some strict action against the battle royal game citing that the game is causing a negative impact on the health and mind of children and also making them violent. A notification from the Commissioner's Office has been published in this regard and is set to come into effect on 15th March. 

The district has even imposed ban on the game and in the past Gujarat government has banned the game from its schools.

According to a notification issued by Rajkot Police Commissioner Manoj Agrawal on Monday, the new ban will be implemented from March 9 till April 30. 

As per some reports in the local media, a circular was sent to primary education officers in the district to make sure that the ban is enforced properly.

“The NCPCR had sent a letter to all the states and recommend a ban on the game. All the states 
are required to implement it. Looking at the negative effects of the game, we had recently sent a letter to the state government recommending a ban on the game’’.

If the ban is imposed, then Gujarat will become the first Indian state to ban the game.

Even the makers of the game have taken light to several complaints and has recently replied in a statement by saying that the company will take reasonable measures to improve the game.
