Several government and school authorities have taken steps demanding ban of the game and now Surat is on the verge to become the first city in India to ban the online game.

Recently, Gujarat’s Surat district has asked the government to take some strict action against the battle royal game citing that the game is causing a negative impact on the health and mind of children and also making them violent. A notification from the Commissioner's Office has been published in this regard and is set to come into effect on 15th March.

The district has even imposed ban on the game and in the past Gujarat government has banned the game from its schools.

According to a notification issued by Rajkot Police Commissioner Manoj Agrawal on Monday, the new ban will be implemented from March 9 till April 30.
