In India, Realme X has become one of the most anticipated smartphones. Isn’t it? Previously, the smartphone maker had said that the Spiderman edition and special Onion and Garlic edition of Realme X will soon come to India along with the standard variants. Well, it’s time now. Realme India CEO Madhav Seth has recently announced that Realme X will be launched in the country on July 15. Yes, you read it right. The company further announced the Realme X Spiderman Edition at a premiere show of the latest superhero movie, Spider-Man - Far From Home.
In a media statement, Realme said, "With the launch of the special edition smartphone, realme is tapping into the popular appeal of Spider-Man, the youngest Avenger, to highlight its young brand's 'Dare to Leap' attitude and its commitment to delivering best-in-class features to users. realme's latest tagline, 'Dare to Leap', also goes perfectly with the young, bold, and spunky character of the friendly neighbourhood superhero, leaping beyond the set boundaries and challenging the impossible."
In the meantime, Madhav Sheth, Co-founder and CEO of Realme said, "As a young, fast-growing brand, realme has been facilitating access to the cutting-edge of mobile technology at the most cost-effective prices across India. Realme X Spiderman edition is equipped with an exclusive themed UI inspired by Spider-Man. The phone also includes a customized wallpaper and icon pack. Further, the special realme X Spider-Man: Far From Home gift box also includes a Spider-Man themed phone case, charger and a device.
It is to be noted that Realme X Spiderman Edition was recently launched in China in a single variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage at a price of 1,799 Tuan (approximately Rs 18,063).
Realme X: Specification
The Realme X is equipped with a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 91.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also features Gorilla Glass 5 protection and have an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. The dimensions of the handset is 161.2x76.9x9.4mm and it weighs 191 grams.
The Realme X is powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC chipset clocked at 2.2GHz and comes in a total of three variants with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0.
Coming to the optics, the Realme X packs a 48-megapixel primary camera with f/1.7 aperture that is accompanied by a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. Also, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front.
Other features Realme X nclude a USB Type-C port, Dolby Atmos support, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS.
On the competition front, the Realme X is up against Redmi K20 in the Indian market after the launch.
