The second flash sale of recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 5A began at 12 pm on Thursday on Flipkart and mi.com. The phone went out of stock after minutes of start of the sale.
Mnau Kumar Jain, global Vice President of Xiaomi India, thanked the poeple on twitter for the love and support. He also informed that the next sale will be conducted on Decmeber 21.

The first flash sale of the smartphone went on sale on December 7 when all of its units were sold out in an instant. The phone is labelled ‘desh ka smartphone’ because the phone is being manufactured in India.
After the first flash sale ended, Jain said in a tweet that the second sale will take place on December 14.
The company has introduced the smartphone in two variants, 2GB RAM+16GB storage and 3GB RAM+32GB storage. The 2GB variant is priced at Rs 5,999 and the 3GB variant is priced at Rs 6,999.
As part of the introductory offer, the company is giving a discount of Rs 1,000 on its first five million units sold. This means that the customers can purchase the 2GB variant at Rs 4,999.
The specifications of the phone offer a metal unibody design along with a ‘Dual Graphite Sheet’ and comes with three card slots, for two SIM cards and one microSD card.
Powered by Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, the device runs on Anroid 7.1 Nougat OS topped with MIUI 9, UI layer of the company.
The phone offers a 5-inch display with 720X1280 pixel resolution.

On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 12mp rear camera with LED flash and a 5mp front camera for selfies. The battery is set at 3,000 mAH without a fingerprint sensor on the body but an infrared sensor.
