Recently, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 8A in India. And now, the smartphone maker is all set to launch the Redmi 8. Yes, you read it right. Redmi 8 will be launched today at 11 am in India. Previously, Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain had released a teaser which suggested that upcoming smartphone will pack a battery more than 4,000mAh capacity and better camera on the Redmi 8.

Redmi 8: Expected Specifications
According to a report of NDTV’s Gadgets 360, Redmi 8 will run MIUI 10.0.1.3 based on Android 9 Pie. It will come in four different colour options i.e. Ash, Blue, Green and Red. Redmi 8 will also feature a plastic build and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor. Redmi 8 will feature a 6.21-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) TFT display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 320ppi pixel density.
On the imaging front, Redmi 8 will come equipped with a 12-megapixel primary shooter and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. According to the entry-level phone's TENAA listing, Redmi 8 is tipped to come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. Reportedly, the smartphone will come in three memory configurations - 2GB + 16GB, 3GB + 32GB, and 4GB + 64GB. The built-in storage of the phone will be expandable via a microSD card (up to 512GB). Redmi 8 will measure 156.3x75.4x9.4mm and the device will weigh 190 grams.

Looking up to the specifications and features, the price of Redmi 8 in India can be expected to be somewhere around Rs 7,999.
