Redmi Note 8 has been launched in India with a new colour variant with a purple gradient finish. The new shade of Redmi Note 8 is called Cosmic Purple. Redmi Note 8's Cosmic Purple colour variant will go on sale starting November 29 in India. It is worth mentioning here that Redmi Note 8's Cosmic Purple avatar is quite similar to the phone's Nebula Purple colour variant that was launched in China recently.

Redmi Note 8: Price & Availability
In India, Redmi Note 8 price starts at Rs 9,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant while its high-end 6GB + 128GB version is priced at Rs 12,999. In addition to the new Cosmic Purple colour option, it also comes in Moonlight White, Neptune Blue, and Space Black variants. The first sale of Redmi Note 8 Cosmic Purple colour variant will be conducted on November 29 and it is scheduled to start at 12pm (noon) IST. It will be available from both Mi.com and Amazon in India. The Redmi Note 8 Cosmic Purple variant's first sale will coincide with the start of Xiaomi's Black Friday Sale, which is set to start on November 29 and will go through December 2.
Redmi Note 8: Specifications
Redmi Note 8 features a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display. It runs Android Pie with MIUI 10 on top. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM.
As far as the optics are concerned, Redmi Note 8 comes equipped with a 48-megapixel primary camera, assisted by an 8-megapixel wide-angle snapper, and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors for depth-sensing and capturing macro photos. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
The phone packs 128GB of internal storage with scope for expansion up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. It has a 4,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The device measures 158.3x75.30x8.35mm and weighs 188 grams.
