Redmi Note 8 has gone on sale in India via Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores. The sale began at 12 PM (noon) on Tuesday. The key features on Redmi Note 8 include a 48-megapixel primary camera and a smaller 4,000mAh battery.
It is to be noted that this is the first sale round in which Xiaomi is only bringing the Redmi Note 8 - with the Redmi Note 8 Pro sale scheduled for Wednesday.
Redmi Note 8: Price, Availability, Sale Offers
Redmi Note 8 price starts at Rs 9,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant while its high-end 6GB + 128GB version is priced at Rs 12,999. The smartphone comes in Moonlight White, Neptune Blue, and Space Black colours.
Sale offers on the Redmi Note 8 include 10 per cent instant discount for customers using Axis Bank cards. Amazon.in is also offering 5 per cent instant discount on HSBC Cashback card. Furthermore, Airtel customers with Rs 249 or Rs 349 prepaid plan can avail double data benefits for a duration of 10 months.
Redmi Note 8: Specifications
Redmi Note 8 features a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display. It runs Android Pie with MIUI 10 on top. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM.
As far as the optics are concerned, Redmi Note 8 comes equipped with a 48-megapixel primary camera, assisted by an 8-megapixel wide-angle snapper, and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors for depth-sensing and capturing macro photos. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor at the back.

The phone packs 128GB of internal storage with scope for expansion up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. It has a 4,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The device measures 158.3x75.30x8.35mm and weighs 188 grams.
