Recently-launched Redmi Note 8 has now been made available in Nebula Purple colour option in China. It is to be noted that the addition of Nebula Purple colour comes just a week after the Deep Sea Blue colour option of the Redmi Note 8 Pro was announced in Taiwan. The Nebula Purple colour variant of Redmi Note 8 comes in two RAM + storage configurations.
Redmi Note Nebula Purple colour option will go on sale in China on November 18 via Mi.com. The smartphone maker introduced the new colour variant via Weibo. The new colour model costs CNY 999 (approx. Rs10,200) for the 4GB + 64GB model, and CNY 1,099 (approx. Rs 11,200) for the 6GB + 64GB model. Currently, Xiaomi is offering the Redmi Note 8 in three colours in China – Dream Blue, Meteorite Black, and White.
However, there is no word on whether the Nebula Purple colour option of Redmi Note 8 will make it to the Indian market or not. In India, Redmi Note 8 price starts at Rs 9,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant while its high-end 6GB + 128GB version is priced at Rs 12,999. The smartphone comes in Moonlight White, Neptune Blue, and Space Black colours.
Redmi Note 8: Specifications
Redmi Note 8 features a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display. It runs Android Pie with MIUI 10 on top. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM.
As far as the optics are concerned, Redmi Note 8 comes equipped with a 48-megapixel primary camera, assisted by an 8-megapixel wide-angle snapper, and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors for depth-sensing and capturing macro photos. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
The phone packs 128GB of internal storage with scope for expansion up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. It has a 4,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The device measures 158.3x75.30x8.35mm and weighs 188 grams.
Connectivity options include GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi Direct, and more. The smartphone also includes a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and IR blaster. Sensors onboard include proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, acceleration sensor, gyroscope, digital compass, and a rear fingerprint sensor.
