Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch the all-new note 8 series smartphones on August 29 in China. Under the new 8 series smartphones, Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro will be launched, the company confirmed. Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are the successors of Note 7 and Note 7 Pro. It is to be noted that the Redmi Note 8 Pro will debut as the company’s first smartphone to house a 64-megapixel primary camera sensor. However, it is yet to known whether Redmi Note 8 will include 64-megapixel camera sensor.

Recently, Xiaomi through the Weibo post announced that the Redmi Note 8 series surpassed the mark of over one million registrations. In the meantime, the registration page on the Mi.com site, which went live just earlier this week, also highlights that it has attracted over 1.51 million registrations ahead of the formal debut of the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro.

This is not for the first time when Xiaomi has received exceptional response for its Redmi Note smartphones. Earlier this week, Redmi Note 7 series crossed the milestone of 20 million units sold worldwide.

Previously, Xiaomi had announced that it would bring a new Redmi phone with a 64-megapixel camera. The smartphone maker said that the camera sensor will be Samsung's ISOCELL Bright GW1. The company further revealed that the phone with the new sensor would make its way to India in the fourth quarter.

According to a report of NDTV’s Gadgets 360, the new camera sensor is equipped with Tetracell and 3D HDR technologies. It is designed to capture images with additional details. On the other hand, recent leaks suggest that the Redmi Note 8 could come with 18W charging support and a USB Type-C port.

On August 29, along with Redmi note 8 series, the company will launch 70-inch Redmi TV. CEO Lei Jun recently teased the smart TV through his Weibo account.
