Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has sold ten lakh units of its latest smartphone Redmi Note 7 in last three weeks in China, Redmi CEO Lu Weibing announced on Weibo. Unveiled last month, the smartphone is priced roughly at Rs 10,400 and features a 48-megapixel camera on the back. The India launch of the smartphone is expected to be in the second half of February. Xiaomi is expected to announce the official date in a few more days. The company recently released a launch teaser on Twitter. Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Jain has called the smartphone a "game changer device".

Redmi Note 7 specifications
Redmi Note 7 comes with a larger 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) LTPS display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It also has a 2.5D curved glass protection. The smartphone features a waterdrop-shaped notch, a slight chin at the bottom of the display. The smartphone measures at 159.21x75.21x8.1mm and weighs 186 grams.
It is powered by the 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 512 graphics, and 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM options.
In terms of optics, Redmi Note 7 has a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 sensor that sits on the dual rear camera setup, along with an f/1.8 aperture and another 5-megapixel sensor. The Redmi Note 7 packs a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie camera with several AI features like face unlock, smart beauty.

Connectivity options on the Redmi Note 7 include USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G VoLTE, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth v5, and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac.
There are reports that suggest that the gadget will be launched in two different variants in India-3GB RAM + 32GB storage version and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model may also be launched in the country at a later date.
Xiaomi is also planning to launch the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Go alongside the Redmi Note 7 smartphone, according to reports.
