Since its launch, Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE phone has created a buzz all across India and the world. Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani shocked everyone when he announced that the new Jio phone will be available at an effective price of Rs 0. However, Jio users will have to pay Rs 1500 as security deposit for the first three years, which they can get back by returning the phone (if they wish to) after the mentioned period.

The pre-booking of the phone will commence from August 24 and its shipment will start from the first week of September. However, the company will give out its phone for user testing (beta) from August 15. Reliance Jio has arranged online facility for its customers to book the phone.

In order to make it easy for their customers, Reliance Jio has come up with a "Keep me posted" link on its website for the bookings. Users need to fill their details (name, email and phone number) on the website to initiate the process.

Once the process is done, an email notification will be followed to the given email address by "Team Jio" stating, "As we are in the process of fulfilling existing demand, we will contact you at the earliest for booking your slot."

Mukesh Ambani on Friday announced the launch of a 4G-enabled feature phone priced at “effective” zero that bundles life-long free voice calls with dirt cheap data in a bid to woo 50 crore low-income users to his 10-month old Jio.
