Reliance Jio, the fastest growing space in the Indian telecom industry, has dropped a Holi surprise to its customers, and will offer free 10 GB data to selected users, as per reports.

The Mukesh-Ambai led company has not made any official announcements, but reports suggest that the 10 GB free data is offered on the occasion of Holi. But, the company is apparently offering the free data to those users who frequently use the JioTv.

The free additional 10 GB data is an automated offering, which some users will get and some users might not get. Reports by TelecomTalk say that there is one more way to receive the free data, which is by calling on the toll-free number.

Many users have reported that by calling on Reliance Jio’s toll-free number 1299 they have received the 10 GB free data in their MyJio accounts.

To check whether you have received the free data, visit the ‘Current Plan’ section in the MyJio application, where all your subscribed plans are listed.

To use the free data, the user first needs to exhaust their one-day limit of the given data according to their plan. For example, if a user has subscribed for the Rs 149 plan which offers 1.5 GB data per day, then the user has to completely exhaust the given 1.5 GB data and then only they can make use of the free 10 GB data.
