After Mukesh Ambani has announced the launch of its much-anticipated 4G smartphone with a bunch of exciting offers, the booking of Jio Phone on everyone's top list. While 'Beta trials' of the feature phone will start on August 15, the phone will be largely available from September. The booking of the Jio Phone will start on August 24 both offline and online.
How to book a Jio Phone
For online consumers
For book Jio phone online, you have to visit the MyJio app on August 24. Till then, you can only sign up for updates on the Jio.com.website. Click on the Keep Me Posted and filling the relevant information and data. For the individual user the process is easy but if you are a business owner then you have to go through a little-complicated process i.e. you need to provide your company's PAN or GSTN number.
Then you have to specify the units of the phone you willing to purchase.the highest tier for consumers is 50 & above for bulk orders. After registration, you will get all the details regarding Jio phone launch via SMS, and on email.
For offline consumers
If you opt for offline Jio phone booking process then consumer have to go to an offline Jio retailer on August 24 and submitted all the required information for registration.
24 August is the only registration day, the handset will be delivered to consumers in September. According to the company policy, they will deliver the 4G feature phone on a first come, first serve basis and their aim is to deliver 5 million units each week.

The Jio Phone has a 2.4-inch display with QVGA display, microSD card slot, torchlight, FM radio, and an alphanumeric keypad for input. It supports voice commands and 22 Indian languages and has a panic button as well. A short demo of the voice command feature on Jio Phone was showcased during the keynote presentation where the device was able to play music via Jio Music.
It will also support an accessory called Jio Phone TV-Cable that allows users to connect their phones to TVs to mirror content from apps such as JioTV and JioCinema. In addition, there is provision for NFC support for digital payments, which will be rolled out to users via OTA software upgrade.The phone does not have WhatsApp support at the moment, glimpses of a Web browser, Facebook, and PM Modi's Mann Ki Baat broadcast during the unveiling at the Reliance AGM has been captured by the reporters.
For Jio Phone, the company has launched the new Rs. 153 plan, which provides unlimited data (high-speed 4G data capped at 500MB per day), free calls and SMSes, and access to Jio apps. Buyers will need to purchase the Rs. 309 recharge to connect the phone to the TV, and watch content on the big screen. There are also sachet packs priced at Rs. 24 (2-day validity) and Rs. 54 (7-day validity).
